Ralph Neiman, owner of Ralph Neiman Art Studios, and his employes will join Penny-Ohlmann Advertising , Inc., effective June 15.
Neiman becomes a full partner in the agency which will change its name to Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman, Inc.
He will serve as art director with the corporate title of vice president. Penny is president and Ohlmann, vice president.
All the employes of the art studio will be retained by the agency, bringing the total to 15. Penny reported:
“Neiman’s wealth of experience and talents will greatly enhance the creative ability of our present art department.
“Additionaly, he will concentrate on initiating and creating concepts and directions in the planning and execution of advertising campaigns.
Resident of Dayton for 14 years, Neiman has headed his own studio for seven years and has been associated with agencies here and in New York.
He has won several gold medals and numerous awards for excellence in art and has taught on the staff of the Dayton Art Institute.
To accommodate the enlarged staff, the agency will make its fifth expansion in less than five years, picking up 800 square feet for a total of about 4,000.
Founded in 1949 by Robert and Jean Penny, the agency was incorporated as Penny-Ohlmann in 1964 chen Walter Ohlmann joined the firm, which now serves 45 clients in three states.
