Those of us who spend a good deal of time hooked into social media would be wise to take some time during the summer to unplug and enjoy the weather.
Five Rivers Metro Parks has done a great job of creating plenty of outdoor activities to keep folks busy. On my bike ride in from work every day, I often pass rowers and kayakers out on the river. If you’re interested in taking up paddle sports – or just want an excuse to get out on the river – try the Intro to Kayaking or Kayak Basics classes from Five Rivers Metroparks. For biking enthusiasts, don’t forget that there are over 37 miles of biking trails connecting the Dayton area. If you’re looking to connect with other enthusiasts, check out some of the classes.

There’s always plenty to do this time of year… so take a few minutes to unplug and enjoy it. Great weather only comes around once a year, but the web will be there when we all get back.
