At the beginning of each month, downtown Dayton hosts a free First Friday event from 5 to 10 p.m. at multiple locations across the downtown area. Daytonites can walk, cycle, or drive to visit exhibits at galleries, mingle with street performers, enjoy live music and entertainment, and much more.

This Friday, August 5th, offers up a special treat for those of you familiar with the work of our Executive Design Director, Gary Hinsche. Gary joined us at the Ohlmann Group after prolonged stints at several prominent West Coast advertising agencies where he developed creative for some of the strongest brands in the world. While his work for Pioneer Electronics, Caesars Palace, and Teledyne garnered national acclaim, he is perhaps best known for creating the brand marks for the 1994 Men’s World Cup, and the 1999 Women’s World Cup, and – most notably – the 1984 Olympics. Here at The Ohlmann Group, he has been instrumental in leading brand development for numerous clients throughout the region.

What few know is that outside the office, Gary is also an accomplished painter and sculptor, fascinated by geometric shapes and organizing them in ways that create tension through scale and color. Gary will be showing some of his work at the Front Street Warehouse located at 1001 East Second Street. The show will be on the third floor, and begins at 5 p.m.

We hope to see you there!
