Hour Community: Help Us Make a Difference for Dayton’s Kids

Do you know what it is like to take on a big task without having the right tools? Then you can empathize with thousands of Dayton area students who will be heading to school in September without the necessary supplies they need to perform to the best of their ability… simply because they cannot afford them.

Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman is joining forces with the Edgewood Baptist Center to help them reach their goal of supplying 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to students scheduled to attend the new Edison Elementary School.

Our goal:  100 Complete Backpacks

Here are the supplies we need to put together to create 100 donate-able backpacks for Dayton area students in need:

  • 100 Student backpacks
  • 100 Packs of wide-ruled loose leaf paper
  • 200 Spiral notebooks
  • 100 Rulers
  • 200 Pencils
  • 100 Scissors
  • 100 Kleenex boxes
  • 200 Pens
  • 400 Folders
  • 100 Boxes of crayons
  • 100 Pencil Sharpeners
  • 200 Erasers
  • 100 Glue sticks
  • 100  1” 3-ring binders

Would you like to help?

We will be collecting supplies through July 28th, arranging a packing party on July 29th, and will deliver the backpacks to the Edgewood Center July 30th.

Give us a call at 937.278.0681 if you have any supplies on this list – whether they’re extra supplies sitting around your home or office or brand new supplies you found on sale – and we’ll arrange to have them picked up and brought back to P/O/N for packing.

Please join us in helping Dayton kids get off to a great right start this school season.

We’ll be updating you on our progress throughout the month!
