Hour Community – P/O/N Gives Back

As many of you know, P/O/N encourages team members to volunteer in their communities for at least one hour each month. You can learn more about the Hour Community Project here.

Pam Fister has been a Media Assistant with P/O/N for over 25 years. This year – as in many years past – Pam chose to spend her Easter weekend generously giving back to her community during the Easter/Spring carnival in the Farmersville/Germantown community held each year by her church, First Baptist-Farmersville.

This year, over 120 children from the Farmersville/Germantown area attended the carnival on April 3d. There were crafts, snacks, games, and a big Easter egg hunt, all run by volunteers just like Pam. On April 4th, Pam also joined her fellow church volunteers to prepare a Sunday breakfast for 125 people.

Pam’s no stranger to giving back. She volunteers at the carnival every year, and participates in many other community outreach programs through her church. As she told us when we proposed the Hour Community Project, “I do this sort of thing all the time.”

Way to go, Pam!
