Ohlmann Group Team volunteering at RMHC in Dayton

Here at The Ohlmann Group, we love Dayton. One way we like to demonstrate our passion for The Gem City is by volunteering each month at local Dayton organizations. On our latest trip, we had the pleasure of volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton.

The Ronald McDonald House is a temporary “home away from home” for families with hospitalized children. Located right across the street from Dayton Children’s Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton provides families with all the comforts of home, keeping them nearby while they focus on caring for their children.

The House has 14 rooms for families, and offers comforts such as an indoor and outdoor child play areas, a full kitchen and stocked pantry, televisions and computers, laundry facilities, and so much more. The House also relies on volunteers and local organizations to help keep the pantry stocked, prepare meals and keep public areas clean.

On this month’s volunteer trip, the Ohlmann Group team gathered to prepare a hot meal for the families in the Ronald McDonald House. We had a fun time working together and exercising our cooking skills to make a complete dinner for approximately thirty people staying in the House.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community all while having a little fun! Be sure to check out some of our photos from the trip below:

A special thanks to Genna Stoffel, Dayton Ronald McDonald House volunteer coordinator, for arranging our visit! If you’re interested in learning more about the Dayton Ronald McDonald House and how you can help, check out these volunteer opportunities.
