It’s another great weekend in the Gem City! We’re back with some of the latest events around town as well as the top news in marketing and advertising. Here’s a look at what’s happening:

To do in Dayton:

Check out the Wintergarden Wonderland Windows

One of Dayton’s longest-running holiday traditions is the Rike’s department store holiday window displays. Whether you’re attending a performance at the Schuster Center or simply want to see the displays, children of all ages will be delighted by the holiday tradition. Call to confirm hours for the displays.

Shop local at the 2nd Street Market

The 2nd Street Market is a favorite any time of the year, but it’s a wonderful place to check out during the holiday season. Whether you’re looking for a unique, handmade gift or simply stop in for brunch or lunch, head to E. 2nd Street in Dayton on Friday or Saturday and check it out.

Celebrate the season at the Dayton Holiday Festival

Originally started by Mrs. Virginia Kettering 45 years ago, the Dayton Holiday Festival is a fun family tradition. On Fridays and Saturdays throughout December, enjoy a variety of free attractions throughout the city, including live reindeer, entertainment, horse-drawn wagons rides, train displays, a street fair, and much more.

New in marketing:

Snapchat introduces wearable Snapcodes

You may have heard of Snapchat’s Spectacles, camera sunglasses that allowed users to capture their everyday experiences. Now, Snapchat and Coach have partnered up to introduce wearable Sanpcodes in the form of stylish pins. According to AdWeek, it’s the first time a brand has created a product with the technology embedded in it. To get one of the free, limited-edition pins, Snapchat users simply complete a quiz and head to one of 20 Coach stores across the country to pick up their pin. Scanning the Snapcode allows Snapchat users to play a game based on Coach’s holiday video campaign. The campaign is intended to drive more in-store visits to Coach’s stores.
