Shop has reputation for promoting malls
Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman Inc.’s bag of clients is getting fuller.
The Dayton-based advertising agency’s aggressive shopping habits for new clients has paid off once again.
This month, the firm was named agency of record for the Southglenn Mall in Denver. The account’s annual billings were not released.
The nearly 1 milion-square-foot mall beefs up the agency’s portfolio, which consists of several retail malls. In fact, the Colorado mall will be the 19th in 11 states whose advertising is created by the agency. Penny/Ohlmann picked up its first mall account more than 20 years ago in Dayton. Locally, the firm handles advertising for the area’s two largest malls: the Dayton Mall and the Mall at Fairfield Commons, both owned by Columbus-based Glimcher Realty Trust.
“One of the reasons we’re successful with mall advertising is that we create a distinct personality for each mall that is reflected in the print and broadcast materials we produce”, said Paul Lindamood, executive vice president and creative director at Penny/Ohlmann.
With $24 million in capitalized annual billings, the agency is the third largest agency in Dayton. The agency also has accounts in such industries as health care, transportation, education and building products.
