Here at P/O/N we have a long history of giving back to the community. Since we opened for business in 1949, we have been committed to being a socially responsible business, and this is a tradition we feel bound to uphold.
In an effort to find a way to make our lives a little more fulfilling, while simultaneously creating positive change in our community, we are launching a new initiative called The Hour Community Project. This project gives all P/O/N employees one hour per month of paid time to do something that somehow makes a difference in the lives of others.
We plan to share the project here, day by day, week by week, month by month as we steadily find small ways to strengthen the place we call home – Dayton, Ohio.

This project was partially inspired by two books I read within the last 6 months – Dan Pink’s recent book Drive and Bob Gilbreath’s book The Next Evolution of Marketing: Connect With Your Customers by Marketing with Meaning. I thank them for inspiration, and encourage you to pick up both of these wonderful works of literature.
