The Wright Monument Project is a community initiative that P/O/N has been passionately involved with for many years.
P/O/N is pleased to say that the Monument’s Community Kick-off event will be hosted tonight at Carillon Park. Many members of the Dayton business and civic community, including Judge Walter Rice and Amanda Wright Lane, will be in attendance to show their support of this historic undertaking.
There have been many successful initiatives in Dayton over the last decade to make this region more attractive to artists, businesses, and entrepreneurs. When I first visited Dayton in 2004 I was struck by how desolate the city seemed. But each year brings new improvements to the downtown Dayton area, including the expansion of RiverScape Metro Park, widespread improvement of our roads and bridges, CareSource’s state-of-the-art new construction, the TechTown complex and expansion, and the city’s recent designation as a bike-friendly city.
The Wright Monument project is designed to further boost the growth potential for the region’s technical jobs, as well as those in the service and tourist industries.
Tonight’s kick-off includes a short program, complimentary refreshments, and an open forum for invitees to share their own ideas on how they can assist in making the Wright Monument a reality.
