Central State University in Wilberforce is Ohio’s only public HBCU, with a 120-year legacy of academic and athletic achievements. As Ohio’s only predominately African American public institution of higher education, CSU has a rich heritage of diversity and inclusion. Their vibrant campus is filled with all of the lures of a modern university setting, but its rural location and relatively small student body often hinder its ability to compete with larger universities and institutions of higher learning nearby. One of the nation’s “best-kept secrets” was no longer content being a secret anymore.
