Have a Gay Day is a local non-profit with the mission to create a safe environment for the purpose of Equality, Education, and Support of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The 3,400-square-foot resource center offers a food pantry, pet food pantry, personal care pantry, community laundry space, lending library, resource wall, community forum, and more. Have a Gay Day also operates a pantry delivery service, enabling the delivery of food, personal care items, household cleaning supplies, and seasonal items such as gloves and hats or fans.
During Pride Month, we held a donation drive for Have a Gay Day’s pet food pantry, which is available to anyone who expresses a need. By providing free pet food, the pantry helps keep animals in the care of owners who love and cherish them. As huge dog and cat fans, the Ohlmann Group team had a lot of fun sending in donations on behalf of our pets!
Have a Gay Day is always in need of pet food donations for dogs and cats, especially smaller bags of dry food and cans or pouches of wet food. The organization also has many individual and group volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
