Evelyn Ritzi Named Chamber Volunteer of the Year

ON April 20, 2022

As Content Marketing Manager for the Ohlmann Group, Evelyn Ritzi is responsible for all things created with the written word. From writing engaging website content and press releases to crafting compelling advertising copy, Evelyn assures that our clients’ messaging is always memorable and meaningful.  On Wednesday, April 20th, Evelyn’s creative skills were recognized by an even broader audience when she was awarded the prestigious Volunteer of the Year award in the sold-out Annual Meeting of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

As the Marketing Chair for the chamber’s Generation Dayton Steering Committee, Evelyn has led the creative promotion of the chamber’s young professionals group. In this role, she elevated Generation Dayton’s social media presence by generating new ways to feature its active young professionals. Evelyn launched Generation Dayton “takeover” days on Instagram, where followers were given the chance to spend a day in the life of an up-and-coming Generation Dayton young professional.

In 2021, Evelyn was uniquely positioned to contribute more of her time and talents with the transition of chamber staff. Evelyn took on the responsibility of creating social media content for Generation Dayton, leading efforts to promote upcoming events, and to drive membership.

According to Holly Allen, the chamber’s Director of Marketing and Communications, “Evelyn’s contributions have been key to providing exposure to the chamber’s next generation of leaders, and ensuring the chamber’s marketing efforts didn’t skip a beat during the change in staffing.”

Evelyn joined Generation Dayton in 2017; became a Steering Committee Member in 2019, and was recently named Marketing Chair for 2022.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by the Chamber for my involvement with Generation Dayton, which has given me countless opportunities to grow both personally and professionally,“ Evelyn explains. “I’m passionate about helping young professionals in our area find a sense of community and discover all that Dayton has to offer.”
