As CEO and VP of Media Services here at Ohlmann Group, Linda Kahn is a leader guided by her heart, charting the future of the agency and upholding its nearly 75-year legacy. Dayton Magazine recognized Linda’s work on August 17 by inducting her into the Dayton Business Hall of Fame.
This recognition is given to leaders in the Dayton region who have made a positive impact on the community through economic, cultural, and civic endeavors. We here at OG believe Linda is a perfect fit!
Following in the footsteps of her father, Walter Ohlmann, Linda believes success is derived from a culture of integrity, honesty, and excellence.
“He (Walter) taught me that great business leadership means reaching beyond office walls,” Kahn told the induction ceremony audience. “There is a Hebrew phrase — Tikkun Olam — which means to Repair the World. At the end of the day, I find myself asking, “What did I do to make a difference? Was I able to affect others in a positive way?”’
Her efforts to affect others in a positive way are many. Linda’s passion for integrity in advertising led her to serve on the Advertising Review Council of the Better Business Bureau for over 20 years. She has also served on the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees and Executive Committee; the Kettering Health Foundation Women’s Wellness Board; Wright Image Group; and, most recently, she was appointed to the Board for the Miriam Rosenthal Foundation for the Arts.
Linda has garnered a market-wide reputation as one of the most respected media planners and negotiators in the industry. She has received numerous awards recognizing her expertise in media buying and advertising strategy, including the AAF Silver Medal Award, the highest honor bestowed by the American Advertising Federation.
Linda’s fellow 2023 inductees include Al Wofford, CDO Technologies; Sandy Mendelson (posthumous), Mendelson Electronics Company; Deborah Feldman, Dayton Children’s Hospital.
Congratulations to all those recognized!
