Dayton, Ohio marketing communications firm Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman, Inc. is proud to announce the company’s new name, The Ohlmann Group.
“With the major expansion in marketing, web development and public relations services at the agency recently, the time to rename and redesign our brand seemed appropriate,” said Linda Kahn, Senior Vice President, Media.
Over the last 18 months, President Walter Ohlmann has added several new members to the firm in areas of strategic marketing, public relations and interactive design.
“This change symbolizes the continued evolution of our organization, the enhancement of our capabilities, and the continued expansion of services we can offer our clients,” said Ohlmann.
With the new company name also comes a new logo. The circular O design was chosen for several reasons. It first represents the company president, who has been with the agency since 1964. The circle also symbolizes creativity and infinite possibility, principles that are foundational to the culture of the organization. Finally, the logo represents the concept that all of the services offered by The Ohlmann Group are systemically connected to create unique value for clients.

Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman was founded in 1949 by Bob Penny and his wife Jean. The firm was originally known as Penny and Penny Advertising. The addition of Walter Ohlmann in 1964 added marketing and public relations services and the firm was renamed Penny/Ohlmann, Inc. Ralph Neiman, owner of a well respected art studio and designer, joined the company in 1969, which then became Penny/Ohlmann/Neiman, Inc. The Ohlmann Group is located at 1605 North Main Street in Dayton.
