OG Gives Back: Boys and Girls Club of Dayton

ON April 29, 2024

For more than 60 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton (BGCD) has focused on the mission of inspiring, developing, and helping young people in our community to reach their full potential. A staple in the Dayton community, BGCD provides meaningful programming promoting academic success, civic and social engagement, and healthy lifestyles in a safe and nurturing environment.

Ohlmann Group team members had the pleasure of visiting the Club to lend a hand and learn all about the impact BGCD is making in the lives of young people.

Many hands make light work, so we divided into two groups for this volunteer experience. Our first group of volunteers helped assemble shelves and sort clothing items for BGCD, ensuring the storage space was organized and easy to access.

A second group of OG volunteers visited in the afternoon to facilitate a special fingerprinting activity with kindergarten and first-grade students. We absolutely loved helping the kids express their creativity while making a colorful welcome sign for an upcoming Mental Health Resource Fair the Club is hosting for families.

A special thanks to the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton for allowing us to volunteer and witness a small glimpse of the powerful impact being made every day for youth in our community.

You Can Give Back Too!

BGCD is always looking for volunteers, and there are many ways to use your skills to help make a difference. Check out their volunteer opportunities and see how you can get involved!
