First Friday Downtown Dayton: Holiday Edition

First Friday is here again and this month’s event is expected to be particularly festive! This Friday, explore downtown Dayton with art galleries, art demonstrations, live music, free hot cocoa, and more. Bring a friend and experience the restaurants, shops, and galleries in downtown Dayton. Here are all the details.

Shop Local for the Holidays at Handmade Holiday Dayton

The Yellow Cab Creative Arts Building is once again hosting an annual craft fair, featuring over 30 artisan vendors from around Dayton. If you’re looking for the perfect gift for a special someone, buying locally is a great way to show you care while supporting the community. Admission is free and prizes from local businesses will be raffled. Check it out this Friday and Saturday from 5:00-10:00 p.m. at the Yellow Cab.

Go ice skating at Riverscape MetroPark

Dayton’s largest outdoor skating rink at Riverscape MetroPark is officially open. Bring the entire family for a fun day of skating under the covered pavilion on the banks of the Great Miami River in downtown Dayton.

New in marketing:

Spotify’s clever new outdoor advertising makes its debut

Last year, Spotify unveiled a series of clever outdoor ads featuring real user data from the streaming site. Now, Spotify is promoting its streaming services once again, with a series of billboards featuring “2018 Goals” highlighting users’ habits. Check out a few of the humorous outdoor ads here.

Instagram is testing new features

According to tech website The Next Web, Instagram is testing a few exciting new features, including a “regram” button, GIF search for Stories, and a “close friends list” which will allow users to share content with a select group. Time will tell if the features are officially released!
