Valentine’s Day is the perfect holiday to show appreciation to friends, family, and loved ones.

Here at The Ohlmann Group, we think Valentine’s Day is also a great opportunity to express our love for Dayton, the wonderful city we’re proud to call our home since 1949. In celebration of Valentine’s Day, we asked our team to share a photo of what they love about Dayton for this month’s photo challenge. Check out our photos and learn what we love about the city below!

“I love that Dayton is so incredibly rich in the arts — especially theatre! There are so many theatre options that most weekends you have to make a tough decision about what to see. Dayton is actually a Midwest hotbed of theatre as we have more theatre opportunities than many cities larger than ours. My family has benefited greatly from the many theatre opportunities as we have experienced it both as a collaborative participant and an excited observer.” -Andrea.

“Factory of Happiness” -Jim.

“These photos were all taken in our backyard. Our home is surrounded by woods and we regularly see wildlife, wildflowers and experience the wonders of nature. What I love about Dayton is that we are able to live in this tranquility and yet be only 10 minutes from a shopping center, and in another 10 minutes the symphony, a historic art museum and extraordinary restaurants. Dayton has all of the unique attributes of small town living combined with the valued features you’d find in a larger city.” -Roxann.

“One of my favorite things about Dayton is the small independent business like Luna on the corner of Fifth and Wayne. They specialize in botanicals and have a ton of fun gift ideas.” -Amber.

“Glen Helen Nature Preserve. I love going to Yellow Springs and hiking here. There are so many trails and I feel like I see something different every time I go.” -Meghen.
“America’s Packard Museum is a hidden gem in the Gem City. You can see some really interesting cars and learn a little history.” -Evelyn.

“Spotting artwork throughout the city!” -Kirsten.

“The Dayton Art Institute is beautiful” -Linda.

Happy Valentine’s Day, Dayton! We’re thrilled to continue creating the future in this city each and every day.
